Indian Head Massage

Carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders?  This treatment focuses on the area of the body that is a problem spot for most people. The neck and shoulders are areas where we tend to hold our tension and stress. Sustained postures such as sitting at a desk or computer all day, breast feeding or excessive emotional stress can contribute to muscular tightness and joint stiffness. Leaving this untreated can result in neck pain, headache or migraine.

The spa style treatment will begin with a Back, Neck & Shoulder Massage lying face down on my massage table. I use Songbird Balance Liquiwax which contains Frankincense, Bergamot, Lavender and Geranium essential oils. The aroma of the balancing blend of essential oils aids in lifting the spirits and relieving stress.

You will then be asked to lie on your back and the treatment will continue.  Acupressure will be applied to the face and scalp.  This soothes the sinuses - as well as being great for headaches. It also refreshes tired eyes. We all spend too much time staring at screens nowadays, and Indian Head Massage is one way to ease eye strain. Massaging around the eye and into the temples loosens the muscles around your eye sockets and can help them feel rejuvenated and refreshed.

To finish the treatment a relaxing scalp/hair massage will be performed.  A scalp massage can release tension, ease migraine and headache pain, reduce stress and promote relaxation.  I use Vegan/Vegetarian Nature Spell Rosemary Oil with almond and sunflower oil. This oil is suitable for skin and hair. Packed with antioxidants, Rosemary Oil nourishes the scalp, boosts circulation and promotes thicker, healthier-looking hair (If you do not wish to have oil in your hair, please just let me know, it's not a problem)
